Update on Optical Transmitter Board and Signal Cable Issues

DESCRIPTION

The optical transmitter board has been successfully assembled and now accepts data from the ADC board. We anticipate the arrival of the new DCM board from Nevis either tomorrow or the following day, which will connect with a daughter card. However, we are experiencing issues with signal cables due to problems with suppliers Hitachi and Jarg. Meritec can ship us two cables by the second week of April. I also checked with Amp, where our signal cable costs $1000 each, with a 50-day delivery time.

FEE Status • Optical transmitter board has been assembled • It appear to accept the data from the ADC board. • The new DCM board should be Nevis either tomorrow or the day after that • This daughter card will be plug into the DCM board. • Receive the optical data from the FEM • Problem on the signal cables • Meritec, cable assembler, has problems with two cable supplier, Hitachi and Jarg(?) • They can ship us two cables around 2nd week of the April. • I check with Amp. Our signal cable cost $1000/each 50 days delivery time.
