  2. Welcome to my rocks ! • These rock and minerals are for a “rock swap”. • They will be available for pickup in Yukon, OK. • You may call 405-324-2903 to arrange a visit or email to stone3b@aol.com.

  3. Heulandite • Heulandite is the name of a series of tecto-silicateminerals of the zeolite group. • Heulandite-Ca, the most common of these, is a hydrous calcium and aluminiumsilicate, (Ca,Na)2-3Al3(Al,Si)2Si13O36·12H2O. • The species are visually indistinguishable, and the series name heulandite is still used whenever testing has not been performed.

  4. Pond Creek Curio • From the 1980 Rock Swap and the Oklahoma Rock-hound Friends.

  5. Celestine • Celestine or celestite (SrSO4) is a mineral consisting of strontiumsulfate. • The mineral is named for its occasional delicate blue color.

  6. Aragonite • Chihuahua, Mexico ?

  7. Orthoclase ? • 2x2 inches

  8. OK, Selenite 1

  9. OK, Selenite 2

  10. OK, Selenite 3

  11. Barite • Barite, (BaSO4) is a mineral consisting of barium sulfate. • The barite group consists of barite, celestine, anglesite and anhydrite. • Barite is generally white or colorless. • This specimen has iron rich inlcusions which give it its brown color.

  12. Kyanite • Kyanite, whose name derives from the Greek word kuanos meaning deep blue, is a typically blue silicatemineral, commonly found in aluminium-rich metamorphic pegmatites and/or sedimentary rock.

  13. Calcite rhomboids

  14. Halite crystal

  15. Igneous ash • For collectors from the Mt. St. Helen eruption.

  16. Asbestos • Nice crystals from New Mexico.

  17. Aragonite ? • Glows under UV.

  18. Emerald & Tourmaline • Nice fragments in two clusters.

  19. Hemimorphite

  20. Carbon • Iridescent sparkles of (natural) carbon crystals.

  21. Fluorite cubes

  22. Fluorite

  23. Calcite • Interesting pseudomorph of Glauberite

  24. Brilliant Wood ? • Very glittery

  25. Silver • Matrix containing silver leaf.

  26. Hemimorphite • Very crisp looking 4 inch cluster.

  27. Witherite • Witherite is a bariumcarbonate mineral, BaCO3, in the aragonite group. • It fluoresces light blue under both long and short-wave UV. • This specimen has a nice hexagonal form.

  28. Native Copper

  29. Brilliant Wood ? • Nice specimen.

  30. End of Part 1 • Thank you…
