  6. Adjectives after nichts, etwas, und viel • Must do/have two things: • Appear without a noun • Follow viel, etwas, nichts • They will always be: • Singular • Capitalized • Always use the ending -es

  7. For Example • IchhabevielGutesüberihngehört. • I heard a lot of good things about him. • WirlesennichtsBesonderes. • We are reading nothing special.

  8. Adjectives following Quantity Words • *Whenever these quantity words are followed by adjectives, the adjective endings are either –e (nomativeand accusative) or –en (dative).

  9. Adjectives Following Quantity Words • Quantity words= viele, wenige, einige, andere, einpaar, and all numbers (eins, zwei). • If these words are followed by adjectives, then the adjective endings are all the same as the der-word dieser. • Whenever these quantity words are followed by adjectives, the adjective endings are either –e (nom. and akk) or –en (dat).
