  1. KEK test beam plan 1) Planed in Dec(asking one week of test beam at KEK-PS pi2 beam line; 1 - 4 GeV/c)  2) Prototype test • Type-A; 12 x 12 w/ 3” PMT (BELLE) • Type-B; 20 x 20 w/ 3” PMT • Type-C; 20 x 20 w mirror Aerogel PMT beam beam Susumu SATO

  2. 3) Items to be tested • Base ideas (http://utkhii.px.tuskuba.ac.jp/) • # of p.e. vs. momentum (0.4 - 4GeV/c) • # of p.e. vs. thickness • Position of PMT • Air between Aerogel and PMT • Direction of stack • Other examples of ideas(raised from personal discussions with K.Ozawa) • # of p.e. vs. indices (1.007, 1.015, 1.020) • Different PMTs (What is the situation of Russian PMT?) • Different product companies of aerogel • Effect of reflector (use millpore, black paper, etc.) • Using PID (e/ by gas Cherenkov, Scintillation light(?) might exist ) • Any other ideas ? Susumu SATO
