Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the antitrust laws. http://nodal.ercot.com 3

Submissions Status / Submission Times for 04/04/08 • Activities for Week of 04/07/08 • Submit the following during the 12:00 – 4:00pm submission window: • COP • TPO for trade date +2 (Note: we expect to have this fixed next week – market notice will be distributed) • Output Schedule (open to all resources) • INC/DEC (DSR resources only) • Submit RT COP adjustments during business hours • Submit RT OS adjustments during business hours http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Updates / Questions / Reminders • FIP / FOP for week of 4/07/08: • FIP: 9.515 • FOP: 21.43 • EDS Environment Outages • MMS3 Migration Delayed (stability issues still occurring) • Outages: • MMS Instability – Known issue to be mostly corrected with MMS3 • Occurrences: 4/7 and 4/8 (brief outages) • Credit Limit Error • Data Set up Issue • Have a proven resolution • Most QSE’s are repaired. Outliers will be resolved by Monday • QSE’s will be able to submit TPO’s day ahead again (rather than Flow Date – 2) • Desired Offer Curve Testing – complete (only 2 make-up sessions requested) http://nodal.ercot.com 5

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Reminder – 24x7 contacts • Starting April 15th ERCOT will man the Nodal systems 24x7 and require contacts at the MPs facility in case ERCOT sees data issues that hamper State Estimator or Transmission Constraint Management • If the Market Participant does not want ERCOT to contact their normal shift operators they need to provide an alternate contact.  Alternate contacts should be provided by email to eds3@ercot.com by April 11, 2008 http://nodal.ercot.com 6

  7. LFC 6.3 pre-Test • Prior to R6.3 (total system test) the market desires an open loop test to validate SCED dispatch. Approach to accomplish this: • QSEs w/ Resources submit Excel files with EOC, OS, INC/DEC on 4/8 that deconstruct Zonal activities for Operating period 4/7 7-9am • Perform open loop test on 4/25 from 7-9am • Perform open loop test on 5/5 from 10-noon • Perform open loop test on 4/12 from 4-6pm • ERCOT to provide QSEs with settlement impact resulting from OOME and Local Balancing had units followed SCEB BP • Please refer to details provided during the 3/14 workshop: http://www.ercot.com/calendar/2008/03/20080314-EDS3-6.html http://nodal.ercot.com 7
