Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the antitrust laws. http://nodal.ercot.com 3

LFC Update • Testing Progress • Companies which tested this week: • Constellation • ERCOT Issues Encountered: • Emergency Base Point Validation • ERCOT issues have prevented any test completions.  (Updates have been made to correct) • ERCOT will be testing the updates and will contact companies to complete the RLC (If applicable) & Emergency base point validation. • Test Form revisions will be posted to the readiness center as necessary. • Test Form submissions are to be submitted two business days before the test. • All submissions should be sent to EDS3@ercot.com. • The QSE list for Testing next week is: • Tuesday 9:00 AM – Calpine • Tuesday 1:00 PM – OXY • Wednesday 9:00 AM – APX • Thursday 1:00 PM – Luminant http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Submission Times for 02/11/08 • Activities for Week of 02/11/08 • Submit the following during the 12:00 – 4:00pm submission window: • COP for trade date +2 • TPO for trade date +2 • Output Schedule (open to all resources) • INC/DEC (DSR resources only) • Submit RT COP adjustments during business hours • Submit RT OS adjustments during business hours http://nodal.ercot.com 5

  6. Submissions Status • Large improvement on submissions! • Reminder – Min Energy Generic Cost Caps are now validated. Refer to protocols 4.4.9.2.3 for resource specific caps. http://nodal.ercot.com 6

LMP Reasonableness - SCED Input Data Issues (number of units with issues) • Type 1:Telemeter incorrect status (Actual MW output>0 & Status = Off) • Type 2: no TPO (Status = one of the 'ON' statuses) • Type 3: Telemeter outside limit (Net Telemetered MW value outside HSL or LSL) • Type 4: Telemeter MW difference between Nodal and Zonal is substantial (done at the QSE level) http://nodal.ercot.com 7

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Update: Sandbox XSD’s Published to http://nodal.ercot.com/readiness/sandbox/websvc/index.html • Update: Extend Daily TPO Submissions to Low / High Reasonability Limits • Gap between last / first break point and Low / High Sustainable Limits causes LMP’s in this gap to hit -$249 and $9,999 respectively • This change will support proving reasonable LMP’s • Update: Defects Resolved in Feb Release (first confirmed group) • 2372 - mRID incorrectly identifying COPH MP as COP transaction and rejecting all cancel transactions as invalid • 1999 – Market Manager UI SCED Inputs. • Next Release to EDS – Week of 2/18/08 http://nodal.ercot.com 8
