Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the antitrust laws. http://nodal.ercot.com 3

  4. Submissions Status • Submission % Issues: • QSE has not started submitting after the holiday • QSE upgraded over holiday and are working out issues • QSE is simply not reviewing errors in their notifications http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Submission Window for Week of 01/07/08 • Activities for Week of 01/07/08 • Submit the following during the 12:00 – 4:00pm submission window: • COP for next trade date • TPO for next trade date • Output Schedule (open to all resources) • INC/DEC (DSR resources only) • Submit RT COP adjustments during business hours • Submit RT OS adjustments during business hours • See slide 7 regarding planned outage starting 01/09/08 http://nodal.ercot.com 5

Reasonable LMP Market Metrics • Starting today, ERCOT will gather daily metrics on MP input data • The above metrics are an example of common issues that are preventing reasonable LMP’s • As ERCOT works through internal issue, we need the markets help on resolving the above to meet one of the primary R5.3 exit criterion – Reasonable LMP’s http://nodal.ercot.com 6

Updates / Questions / Reminders • EDS Environment Outage • EDS will be brought down on 01/09/08 @ 4pm CST • This will release includes: • External Web Services 1.06 • MMS2 • MIS Portal Release including the new MMS UI (at risk) • EMS 3B • Release will enable: • R9.1- DAM/RUC • R6.1- LFC • There will be no submission requirements for trade dates 1/10, 1/11, 1/12, 1/13, 1/14 • Make submissions on 1/9 for trade date 1/15 • LMP’s and Basepoints may be received intermittently as we test and verify the migrations • RARF Data received from RES Owners on / before 12/31 may be updated during outage • Exceptions are those RARF’s that were incorrectly filled out • QSE’s with updates to be made will be notified individually http://nodal.ercot.com 7

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Reminder: Sign up for EDS 4 (deadline was 1/4/08) • Update: The MIS User Interfaces (new) to be released on 1/15 will be only new interfaces pertaining to EDS 4 • QSE’s with resources will continue to use the current user interfaces for COP, TPO, INC/DEC and OS • These Interfaces are expected to be released at or near the end of Jan • Question: Do we need to continue to submit EDS 3.5 transactions on a daily basis after EDS 4 begins?Answer: Yes. EDS 3.5 submissions will continue until the 168 hour test • Question: Will we (QSE’s w/ resources) get a new certificate for EDS 4? Answer: No. You will use the same certificate for EDS 4. • Question: Will we continue to have Mon/Fri Market calls?Answer: We will continue to have Mon/Fri market calls until ERCOT declares reasonable LMP’s. At that time calls may be reduced to once / week to address issues specific to QSE’s with Resources http://nodal.ercot.com 8
