Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the antitrust laws. http://nodal.ercot.com 3

Submission Status and Window for Week of 12/10/07 • Activities for Week of 12/10/07 • Submit the following during the 12:00 – 4:00pm submission window: • COP for next trade date • TPO for next trade date • Output Schedule (DSR resources only) • INC/DEC (DSR resources only) • Submit RT COP adjustments during business hours • Submit RT OS adjustments during business hours (DSR only) • MP Offer Curve testing: • Suspended (covered later in presentation) http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Port changes for MIS/MMS UI and External Web Services • Changes to Ports for MIS/MUI and EWS: Currently users access MIS/MUI and EWS as follows: MIS : https://nodaleds.ercot.com:8443/misportal/ MUI : https://nodaleds.ercot.com:8443/mi_webapps/ EWS: https://nodaleds.ercot.com/2007-08/Nodal/eEDS/EWS/ After change, users access MIS/MUI and EWS as follows: MIS : https://nodaleds.ercot.com/misportal/ MUI : https://nodaleds.ercot.com/mi_webapps/ EWS: https://nodaleds.ercot.com:80/2007-08/Nodal/eEDS/EWS/ Note: EWS will still remain an SSL site. • Change will go into effect on 01/12/2008 • If there are changes to this date, ERCOT will communicate via a market notice and a subsequent Mon / Fri call • ERCOT will open ports early for QSE’s to verify communications – early date TBA http://nodal.ercot.com 5

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Update External Interface Specification 1.04 • Due to the impact of issues introduced, ERCOT backed this out on 12/06/07 • This will be re-deployed as part of the next EDS migration in Mid-Jan. • Update: RARF Data Synchronization • ERCOT completed the first RARF data load as scheduled on 12/6 • Submissions made on 12/7 will require compliance with HRL/LRL submitted in RARF’s • QSE’s will either: • Need to review notifications for error messages to retrieve the correct data <OR> • Contact the Resource Owner to obtain a copy of the latest RARF • The following may require modification based on the amount of change: • COP – Sustainable Limits • TPO – Re-adjust EOC • INC/DEC – Re-adjust EOC • Those Resources ERCOT has not received RARF’s or are still iterating remain unchanged http://nodal.ercot.com 6

Updates / Questions / Reminders • SCED Issues • Bad input data is causing SCED failures and instability • Many of these issues have been attributed to incorrect Combined Cycle Configuration Telemetry • QSE’s must ensure that the telemetry point for their CC configuration is correct and in line with that resource’s RARF • ERCOT will be contacting QSE’s with combined cycles to ensure they know the correct configuration today, 12/07/07 • Until these issues can be resolved – MP 2 Hour Offer Curve Testing will be suspended • We will provide an update on Monday’s call to determine if the telemetry issues will be resolved next week • Other data issues include HSL’s set below LSL for some resources http://nodal.ercot.com 7
