Antitrust Admonition ANTITRUST ADMONITION ERCOT strictly prohibits Market Participants and their employees who are participating in ERCOT activities from using their participation in ERCOT activities as a forum for engaging in practices or communications that violate the antitrust laws. The ERCOT Board has approved guidelines for members of ERCOT Committees, Subcommittees and Working Groups to be reviewed and followed by each Market Participant attending ERCOT meetings. If you have not received a copy of these Guidelines, copies are available at the Client Relations desk. Please remember your ongoing obligation to comply with all applicable laws, including the antitrust laws. http://nodal.ercot.com 3

  4. Submissions Status • Daily EDS 3.5 Submissions to resume tomorrow for trade date 1/16/08: • Reminder – do not alter data to be in alignment with 12/31/07 RARFs until notified by ERCOT http://nodal.ercot.com 4

Updates / Questions / Reminders • Reminder – ERCOT will resume to measure quality of ICCP points • Issue resolution on ICCP input data is imperative to meeting the ERCOT exit criteria of reasonable LMP’s • Daily metrics will resume posting on 1/16/08 for trade date 1/15/08 • Reminder – Daily XML submissions are not required for trade date 1/15/08 due to ERCOT data loss during the upgrade • Update: QSE-ID’s – Although most of the QSE-ID’s remain the same, there were a few changes • Please review the list of QSE-ID’s at the EDS 4 readiness center:http://nodal.ercot.com/readiness/eds4/documents/index.html • Most are due to name changes, new sub-QSE’s and standardization http://nodal.ercot.com 5

Updates / Questions / Reminders • EDS Environment Outage Status • All upgrades to MMS, EIP and front-end web services completed as scheduled • Testing over the weekend did not uncover any major defects • Testing and verification continues throughout the remainder of the day • Environment will be released as scheduled 8am on the 15th • A market notice will be released this evening to verify the release • If there are any changes to the release, we will communicate via this market notice • MIS / MM UI (Market Manager) • Good progress has been made • The afore mentioned market notice will verify whether the Market Manager will be released on time tomorrow • The current user interface used for EDS 3.5 will be available • There is a good chance the SCED Input screens will be released tomorrow as well • Notifications / Validation messages will be delayed until the week’s end http://nodal.ercot.com 6
