This study explores the effects of pacing on various cardiac parameters under steady state conditions. By analyzing dP/dtmax, left ventricular pressures, and oxygen consumption indices, we assess the implications of intrinsic versus paced strategies in cardiac performance. Data compiled from Kass et al. (1999) and Nelson et al. (2000) inform this comprehensive review, providing critical insights into pacing location and its impact on left ventricular function and myocardial oxygen demand. Our findings aim to contribute valuable knowledge to cardiac pacing strategies and their clinical applications.
