Civil Rights Movement Propaganda

The Civil Rights Movement emerged in response to deep-rooted racism in America, which persisted despite the fight against tyranny in WWII. This era exposed the hypocrisy of condemning Nazi Germany while marginalizing Black Americans. Groups like the Ku Klux Klan opposed civil rights advancements, believing in white supremacy. The integration of schools marked a significant step toward desegregation. Key figures like Jackie Robinson, Rosa Parks, and Martin Luther King Jr. inspired change, alongside powerful anthems from artists like Curtis Mayfield. Discover their stories and songs that fueled the fight for equality.
