World War II, spanning from 1939 to 1945, marked a significant period in history. Throughout the war, food was rationed, affecting everyday life and availability, with essentials like milk, sugar, and meat restricted. Women stepped into roles traditionally held by men, becoming factory workers and nurses to support the war effort. Additionally, many children were evacuated from London to safer areas in the countryside, staying with billeting families for protection. This exploration sheds light on the profound societal changes brought about by the war.
