  4. How to calculate Slope • Find two points on your line • Take the difference between the y-values • Take the difference between the x-values • Divide the y difference by the x difference For example… • (5, 4) and (10, 7) • 7-4 = 3 • 10-5 = 5 • 3/5 or 0.6

  5. Types of Graphs Direct (as one increases; the other increases proportionally) Indirect (as one increases; the other decreases proportionally) Inverse (as one increases, the other decreases substantially) No Relationship
