A major type of literature There is no single, unique characteristic that poetry shares Poetry does not always rhyme or have rhythm The elements of poetry include figurative language, imagery, voice, sound devices, structure, symbolism, and theme An anthology is a collection of poems or stories, usually written by a variety of authors

What two figurative devices (metaphor, simile, etc) can you find in the lyrics? If its a song are the lyrics written as lines of poetry?
