  5. Reporting • Working on new reports on college use of elearning tools • New reports on college use of professional development ops • Survey of faculty for effectiveness of professional development

Blackboard Collaborate • SBCTC purchased 500 licenses for Plan and Publish per college for the next three years. • Collaborate (Wimba/Elluminate combo) • New interface more simple, better sound/video • Currently in Beta, V.11 slated for July ‘11 release • The default version will continue to be (current) V.10 until this group decides to make Collaborate the default • V.12 will include support for mobile users, ability to publish in multiple formats w/o client software, new archiving system, • http://www.elluminate.com/Company/Media_Center/Press_Releases/Detail/132/?id=193

  11. OCL Phase 2 Timeline Update • Move phase 2 of the Open Course Library back by 1 quarter (from fall 2011 to winter 2012) • OCL Phase 2 timeline: • RFP/faculty selection: fall 2011 • Develop: winter-spring 2012 • Pilot courses: fall 2012 • Revise: winter 2013 • Release courses: spring 2013

OCL Phase 2 Timeline Update • Rationale: • Quality is top priority • Fall OCL phase 2 RFP is preferable • Running the phase 2 RFP and selection in Fall will allow for greater exposure and a wider pool of proposals • Timeline adjustment allows additional time for other Fall 2011 projects • OPEN DOL support initiative • OLI adoption initiative

LMS Next Steps • Spring/Summer—finish familiarity sessions • Early Fall—RFP committee begins • Reps from ELC, IC, ITC, LMDC, ADA compliance, student services, faculty—anyone else? • Winter 2012—Release RFP • Spring 2012—Choose vendor and negotiate contract • Begin two-year migration-- July 1, 2012
