  2. Rifles • Rifles became more accurate . • The minie ball made weapons sill more accurate . • Their were three main types of rifles were muzzleloader ,breech loader, and repeating rifles.

  3. Handguns • The revolver was invented in 1835 • It fired 6 shots • The Union used the colt .36 caliber revolver • The Confederates used the Le Mat .42 caliber revolver that had a .16 gauge barrel on the bottom
