Israeli expertise by Anna :D • Zionism is the Jewish national movement of rebirth and renewal in the land of Israel • Israel was established May 14th, 1948. -it was established as a homeland for the Jewish people after World War 2 -the Jews declared independence for Israel and commenced a civil war to extend its area…this was successful • The current prime minister of Israel is Benjamin Netanyahu • Israel currently receives about $3 billion per year in economic and military grants, refugee settlement assistance, and other aid.

  4. Palestine • Israel/Palestine is one of the most ancient homelands of mankind. Inhabited about two hundred thousand years ago. • Israel was the home of the Jews until the Roman's conquered it and renamed it Palestine. • The Jews created a Zionist movement to move back to their homeland.

  5. Palestine • The Arabs resented the Jews returning to the land. • In 1947 the United Nations divided Palestine to accommodate Jews and Arabs. • War broke out in 1956, 1967, 1973, and 1982. The main type of people in Palestine are Muslim, Christian, and Jew. • Christians control North West and South West, Muslims control north east, and Jews control south east. • Nothing should be done to help because they have been fighting for thousands of years and they still do not get along. rst.gsfc.nasa.gov

  9. They are all monotheists religions. • All started in Middle East. • All believe in angels and demons. • All believe in heaven or eternal paradise. • Muslims peacefully took the land from the Christians with a treaty. • Jews where there first but decided to leave. • Christians stayed.
