When Approaching a Buyer • Be Friendly • Persistence • Aim at all people walking by, not just students
Mention the Following • Mention the following to potential customers • Selling polo shirts in a variety of different colors and sizes • Proceeds go towards PlaySpace • We accept BUID as well as cash, cash encouraged • It will make a great gift for family members or friends
MORE? YES! • Be sure to mention that guys shirts run big and girls shirts run small. • Tell them that they can try a shirt on that is on the table
Item Checklist • Make sure all of the following is at the selling table • Inventory • Inventory tracking sheet • BUID forms • Variety of different guys and girls and colors on the table (colors preferably on the hangers if they are there) • Posters • Possibly music • Lock Box
Worker’s Responsibilities • In the LC • There will be 4 workers for each shift, plus various members of the business division • One will handle the foot traffic • One will handle BUID forms and cash • Two will be responsible for giving the shirts to the customer and proper record-keeping • In front of the library, one less person will be doing the shirts and record-keeping
When Selling • Buying with BUID • Fill out the slip (name, signature, social security, number of shirts) and bring it into the bookstore BEFORE they get the shirts for the 11-12 and 12-1 selling times • Put the Slip and cash in the cash box
After Selling Time is Over • At least one person must stay with the items until they are either picked up or people from the next shift have arrived • If the items have not been picked up 10 minutes after the end of the selling periods (1:00, 3:00, or 7:00), one person must bring them to either Freeman’s room (sig ep 213) OR to the library if it is 1:00 • However, Most likely there will be people from the business division there to take care of it
