  2. Adjectives An adjective is a word that describes a noun or a pronoun. The old boat Adjectives tell: • what kind • how many One man was fishing. • which one That whale looks very small.

  3. Some adjectives tell what kind … She had pink flowers. flowers Ask: what kind of flowers? pink Pink is the adjective Find the noun.

  4. Some adjectives tell how many … Most students bought soup for lunch. students Ask: how many students? most Most is the adjective Find the noun.

  5. Some adjectives tell which … I like those balloons. balloons Ask: which balloons? those those is the adjective Find the noun.

  6. Let’s Practice … Find the adjectives: The soccer players wore yellow shirts. Each player was from a different town. One player was from Canada. He is a fast runner.

  7. Try some more … The snow was three feet deep. The snowfall is clear, white and beautiful. Most snow lasts until March. The cold weather lasts a few months.
