  2. Today’s Aims • To know about breast and bottle feeding. • To understand the advantages and disadvantages of breast and bottle feeding a new born baby.

  3. Breast feeding is considered to be the best method for feeding because breast milk is ideally suited to the baby and is rich in P_________ and anti___________ to protect the baby from infection. Breast Pump – Expressing A breast pump is used to pump milk out of the breast. This is called expressing the milk. The expressed milk is fed to the baby using a bottle and teat. The baby gets the benefits of breast milk, but the mother does not have to be around all the time to breastfeed.
