Analyzing WWII Propaganda Posters to Create Our Own "War on Terrorism" Poster

This exercise explores the elements of World War II propaganda posters, including their colors, symbols, and intended messages. Students will analyze the effectiveness of existing posters and learn about their purposes, such as enlistment and dehumanization of the enemy. Each student will then create their own "War on Terrorism" propaganda poster using one sheet of 8.5 x 11 paper, incorporating lessons from the analysis. The final project will encourage creativity and critical thinking about war messaging.
