The Holocaust: Adolf Hitler's Genocidal Campaign Against the Jews and Other Victims of WWII
After Hitler came to power in 1933, the Nazi regime implemented policies of systematic persecution against Jews and other marginalized groups. Stripped of citizenship by the Nuremberg Laws, Jews faced extreme measures, including forced identification and violence epitomized by Kristallnacht. By the war's height, millions were condemned to ghettos and concentration camps, where many perished due to starvation, disease, and execution. The implementation of the “Final Solution” led to the establishment of death camps, resulting in the murder of approximately 6 million Jews. The horrors of this genocide remain a stark reminder of mankind’s capacity for brutality.
