  1. Civil War The Civil War is also known as the war between the States and the War between the Secession.

  2. How it started The Civil War started in January of the year 1861.Lincoln had alerted the state to avoid hostilities, and they thought there was a trick, Robert Anderson (leader of Fort Sumter) had offered to surrender on April 12.His offer was declined and the war started with bullets hitting the fort.

  3. Confederate States of America Also known as the Confederacy was an unrecognized state that started from 1861-1865 by 11 southern slave states of the USA.Then after the attack on Fort Sumter four states had joined the Confederacy.They were Arkansas,Tennessee,NorthCarolina,and Virginia.

  4. The Union Is a federal government of the USA that is supported by 20 free states and 5 border slave states.11 Southern states were against the Union and they had declared a organization to form the Confederacy.

  5. The Confederacy rejoins As the Confederacy grew whites stopped supporting the Confederacy and after the war ended (Lee surrendered) the Confederacy had rejoined the Union.

  6. How it ended • When black soldiers were all trained and ready they had joined the war but the white soldiers didn’t want to fight them and so they protested against them saying that there should be no black soldiers in the war.Then to end the war Robert E. Lee had surrendered.Because of the war 617,000 American soldiers had died.
